Skilled Visa Subclasses
General Skilled Migration program is for highly skilled people who has occupations demanded in Australia to migrate to Australia independently, without sponsorship from employer, state government or other third parties. These are the skilled migration options currently available:
- Skilled Independent (Subclass 189) – Permanent visa, does not require sponsorship by a an eligible relative or Australian State or Territory government
- Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) – Permanent visa, require nomination by an by an Australian State or Territory government
- Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (Subclass 491) – A visa for skilled people nominated by a state or territory government to live and work in regional Australia
- Skilled Regional (Subclass 887) -The is the permanent stage of the Subclass 489 visa. To qualify for this permanent visa, you must live in the required region of Australia for 2 years and work full time there for 12 months.
- Temporary Graduate (Subclass 485) – This visa allowed International students who have completed 2 years of Australian study to live and work in Australia (from 18 months – up to 4 years).
